Hi, my name is Sharla Dalley. It is a pleasure to have you stop
by my page. I am from Jamaica, but I came to the United
States for college. I'm not from a large family like most of my
team members. I only have one sister, and we were not very
close growing up. We come from a broken home which,
unfortunately, more than 50% of people in this country do too.
My younger years were crowded with many pains, but God has
been faithful to keep me and strengthen me. I have been able
to forgive my family, serve them and enter a new relationship
with God. It is truly wonderful what God can do when we allow
Him to come into our lives and rearrange our hearts.
God has given me an amazing church family that has walked with me through a lot of hard times.
They remind me of the fruits of the Spirit. They are patient, kind, loving, gentle, joyous,
peaceful, good, faithful. I am very blessed to have them as friends. It has taken me a while to
go through the healing process, and because I have such amazing friends and a strong trust in
God, I have been able to let go of my past and embrace the future that God has for me. I
believe that God will use my testimony to help other people find healing through Jesus.
He came to save us and to restore us,
physically, emotionally and spiritually. He also
came so we can experience true freedom
that can only be found in Jesus. It is His
desire that we not live our lives bound by our
past or by strongholds in our lives, but that
we have an abundant life, a full life. God
desires that we walk in joy that is
unshakable, and in peace that surpasses any
human understanding. This is the freedom I
have found and that is available to you too.
Some of my favorite
teachers in the messages
of the bible are Beth
Moore and Joyce Myers.
If you haven't heard of
them or their ministries,
then "google" them and
check them out. You will
be glad you did. There are
many good teachers of the
gospel. But don't forget
to read the Bible on your own as well. Ask
the Holy Spirit to reveal God's truths to
you. It is amazing what you will discover,
if you want to know more about God.
God is so eager to have fellowship with us.
The Holy Spirit has already prepared your
heart for everything you will receive from
God. He says, "... he who has ears to hear,
let him hear." Luke 14:35
I have learned that some
people don't understand
"forgiveness". They harbor
bitterness for others. The
bible says, "... for out of the
abundance of the heart his
mouth speaketh." Luke 6:45
And when someone can't stop
talking or sharing bad reports
about someone else, it means
they haven't forgiven that
person. Most people don't
realize how much harm it
brings both them and the
person they are continually
tearing down. It is important
to move past the pain and show
forgiveness by putting closure
to the situation. And that
doesn't mean to continually
use any opportunity as one to
discuss or malign another
person's character.
Sadly, I have watch someone
close to me do this for years.
They have been eaten up with
unforgiveness. The only
comfort they find is to go
over and over the same
situations that caused them
the harm. They never move on
or get closure. Their
bitterness causes a hate and a
hurt in their hearts that can
only be healed by the love of
God.
Some people don't want to
turn to God for such a
healing. It takes a
submission to God to
receive a healing. It will
try you and test you. But
when you come through,
you will be most victorious.
One of my favorite pass-
times is shopping. I also
love to buy things for
other people and surprise
them. I also love to DO
things for other people,
especially when they are
not expecting it. Serving
others is fun. God always
gives us opportunity to
help others. I try to do it
with a spirit of excellence
and a heart of humility.
I choose to be a Christian Counselor as a career. I don't only help
Christians. I also help people that don't believe or haven't made a decision
to believe in God. But, those people know that I will be treating them with
the Word of God. And even knowing this, some remain my clients. Some
leave, because they don't want to apply God's principals to their lives. But,
most are successful, because they DO apply His principals and they wonder-
ful victories. Most anyone can receive God's principals for living, through
their church and reading the bible. Doing both (church and reading) is
necessary for the best results.
God is the greatest counselor.
Jesus said, "But the Counselor,
the Holy Spirit, whom the
Father will send in my name, will
teach you all things and will
remind you of everything I have
said to you." John 14:26
My relationship with the Holy
Spirit is just as important to me
as the one I have with God the
Father and Jesus the Son and
Saviour of the world.
"But seek ye first his kingdom,
and his righteousness; and all
these things shall be added
unto you. " Matt 6:33
That's what He tells us to do!
I have some of the greatest friends in the world. Eight of them are on a
team called the JTeam with me. God says, "Greater love has no one than
this, that he lay down his life for his friends." John 15:13 And that is how
I feel about my friends. Jesus made that sacrifice that we wouldn't have
to. But, my Christian friends and family mean the world to me. They
encourage me and lift me up in prayer. They hold me accountable for my
actions. They love me in spite of anything I could say or do.
We all went to a charity event. I had a blast. It was fun to dress up and
hear fabulous music, eat great food and meet people from all over the world.
We were allowed to share and witness the gospel to people that had never
heard it before. They were ambassadors from other places on the globe.
Some of them understood, and some
of them did not. But seed was sown
and that is what really counts. The
Holy Spirit can water that seed and
make it grow in God's own time.
Of course, I don't wait till a fancy
occasion to witness for God. I like
to be a witness everyday. I let the
Holy Spirit guide me to the opportune
moments where He will take them in
His own hands. That is the most
exciting way to witness. If you just
pray for an opportunity, God will give
it to you. It is a lot of fun!

 | | Any believer can walk in the gifts of the Holy Spirit, not just the JTeam Cartoons or any one person. The gifts are for all believers.

I love to read and study. I like to get down to
the truths of things. You have to dig pretty
deep to find the truth sometimes.
God has
something good
for us everyday.
He just wants us
to reach out to
Him and touch
Him, so He can
reach back and
touch our lives.
If a person
doesn't see God
working in their
life, it will be due
to the fact that
they are not
seeking Him out.
That is pretty
harsh, but it
usually is the truth.
Not knowing the
truth is what's
really harsh.

Lead me not into
temptation, but deliver
me from evil that I may
not harm anyone or bring
harm to myself. Give me

may serve you better

Psalm 3
Lord, how are they increased that trouble me! many are they that rise up against me. Many there be which say of my soul, There is no help for him in God. Selah. But thou, O LORD, art a shield for me; my glory, and the lifter up of mine head. I cried unto the LORD with my voice, and he heard me out of his holy hill. Selah. I laid me down and slept; I awaked; for the LORD sustained me. I will not be afraid of ten thousands of people, that have set themselves against me round about. Arise, O LORD; save me, O my God: for thou hast smitten all mine enemies upon the cheek bone; thou hast broken the teeth of the ungodly. Salvation belongeth unto the LORD: thy blessing is upon thy people. Selah.
