I am very blessed to live in such a                                               peaceful neighborhood. My
house is right on a lake, and I like to                                           sit outside in the mornings and
read my bible or practice martial arts for a morning workout. My home is decorated with art
from China, and I try to stay close to my Chinese roots as to honor my family. We are all
Christians so there is never a conflicts with our beliefs or customs.
God has never intended for us to hide who we are, or be ashamed of following Christ.
Philippians 2:14-16 says: "Do everything without complaining or arguing, so that you may
become blameless and pure children                                of God without fault in a crooked
and depraved generation, in which                                   you shine like stars in the universe as
you hold out the word of life."                                         God wants us to shine in our world.
There are people around us that                                  need the light of Christ in their lives.
We should always follow the Holy                                  Spirit's leading when speaking into
people's lives. God knows what                                       needs to be said and His timing is
always perfect. Our lives should                                      be an everyday example to the
people around us, so much so that                                  they desire to serve God too.

Hello.  My name is Scong Yeng and I am originally from Shanghai, China. My parents and
siblings still live in China and I miss them very much. We are very close. I came to the United
States as an exchange student my senior year of high school. While I was at college in Virgina, I
took many trips to Washington DC and learned so much about the states and the freedom that
you have here. It was because of this that I decided to apply for citizenship. I have loved living
here, and my family and I visit as often as we can. It is hard sometimes, but we make it work.

For the LORD is Spirit, and
wherever the Spirit of the
LORD is, there is freedom.

2 Corinthians 3:17
I like to teach martial arts. My grandfather began
teaching me at a very young age. He taught me that
karate is more about self-
discipline than self-defense.
It is about very controlled moves and decisions, and
this same principle can be applied to our spiritual
lives. Self-discipline is one of the nine fruits of the
Spirit. Just like there are nine gifts of the Spirit
there are nine fruits of the Spirit. The gifts are to be
balanced by the fruits.
See yourself
through the
eyes of
Christ!
Be encouraged!
In Colossians 1:10, God tells us
that as we honor God, our lives
will produce every good fruit,
and we will continue to grow as
we get to know God better. The
bible also tells us that people will
know that we are followers of
Christ by the fruit in our lives:
love, joy, peace, patience,
kindness, goodness, gentleness,
faithfulness and self-control.
Love and self-control are the
bookends of the fruits of the
Spirit. It is important that we
love people with
God's heart
and see them with
His eyes.
Love and compassion go hand in
hand. Pray that God will give
you His love for other people.
I enjoy travelling and seeing the world. My dad has taken me to many places throughout the
years. I like to learn about other cultures and history. It makes me more aware of God and
the people He loves so much. I always pray that God would reveal His heart to me as I
travel and meet new people around the world.
Moved with compassion, Jesus
reached out and touched him.
"I am willing," he said.
"Be healed."

Mark 1:41
As you can see, I love to have
fun. I have always enjoyed the
circus, especially the acrobats.
They remind me of my martial
arts training. The animals are a
lot of fun to watch too.
I know many people who do not
share the same religion or faith with
their family. I am fortunate that my
whole family are believers in Christ.

Many years ago China was an
open country when it came to other
religions. It was during this time
that Christian missionaries shared
Christ with my great-grandfather.
Ever since then, our family has
followed Jesus and have held the
principles in the bible very close to
our hearts.
My family has faced a great deal of persecution
for our faith. Many people are being
persecuted for their faith in Christ. However,
God tells us to count it as joy when we are
persecuted because then Christ's strength will
be known through our perseverance. Being a
Christian does not mean we are not going to
face trials or opposition. The bible says there is
a spiritual battle going on all around us. The
battle is for our souls and our faith. That is why
it is very important that we are strong Christians.
We have to remember that we can go to God about any concern or
problem we are having and know that He cares about every part of
our lives. The bible says in Philippians 4:6 "Don't
worry about
anything; instead,
pray about everything. Tell God what you need,
and thank Him for all he has done." It is prayer that opens a line of
communication between us and God. God can do more that we can
ever imagine or dream. Miracles are a way for him to show the world
that He is God over any and every situation. Persistent prayer and
seeking Him with all of our hearts are how many miracles take place.
I enjoy spending time with God in worship and
prayer. Communication is important for any
relationship to flourish. There are two main ways
that we get to know God: through prayer and
through reading the bible. These are the ways
God most frequently communicates His will and
His heart to us. I always start my day off with
prayer and thanksgiving. When I need help or a
situation comes up that I don't understand, I know
I can alway pray and read God's Word to find the
answer.

We had such a great time at the charity ball. The
conservatory was packed with people and ambassadors
from around the world. We were so honored to be a
part of the event.

I arrived late, but caught up with the other girls in our
group who were speaking with some of the lady
ambassadors. They were discussing the challenges of
the young women in their countries.  Many of them are
not motivated to have a better life, or they think they
are not capable of changing how things are so they and
their communities can have a better future. Many of
them get married very young and are strictly
participating in household duties. As we talked, we
came to the conclusion that the young women need to
be educated. They need to know they are strong and
that they are of
great value to their communities. The women need to
know their dreams are important and they can be
achieved. Most of all they need to know they are
loved by a God who created them and knows
everything about them.

It was an awesome evening and we enjoyed being a
part of the benefit. I am so blessed to have such
great friends who are willing to fight for what is right.

It is important to have great friends to encourage
you and strengthen you in your walk with God. I
have a great variety of friends who all have different
strengths but they all add something to my life.
They are amazing and I thank God for them
everyday.

 1 Corinthians 12:7-11 ( New Living Translation)

But the manifestation of the Spirit is given to each one for
the profit of all: for to one is given the word of wisdom
through the Spirit, to another the world of knowledge
though the same Spirit, to another faith by the same Spirit,
to another the gift of healing by the same Spirit, to another
the working of miracles, to another prophecy, to another
discerning or spirits, to another different kinds of tongues,
to another the interpretation of tongues. But one and the
same Spirit works all these things, distributing to each one
individually as He wills.
          Hebrews 2:3-4 (New Living Translation)

How shall we escape if we neglect so great a salvation,
which at the first began to be spoken by the Lord, and
was confirmed to us by those who heard Him,
God also
bearing witness both with signs and wonders, with various
miracles, and gifts of the Holy Spirit, according to His
own will?
Dear God,
Give me the courage to be your vessel, to
be used by you each and everyday! I pray
that Your light will shine in me and that
Your will would be done and not my own.
Thank You for everything you do and all
You have given me. I love You, LORD.

Disclaimers:
When you pray, you will not dawn a superhero costume.  And you can't fly with out the aid of a plane or glider.
Any believer can walk in the gifts of the Holy Spirit, not just the JTeam Cartoons or any one person.  The gifts are for all believers.
The JTeam is fictional, the gifts of the Holy Spirit are real and the scriptures of the Bible are true.
I hope you will surprise me
and write me a letter.  I will
answer you back.  It would
really be awesome!
